3.   LOGO CITIES: SIGNAGE, BRANDING AND LETTERING IN PUBLIC SPACE

Aiming to draw together scholars, designers, artists, and artisans to foster an informed, critical dialogue about signage, branding, and lettering in public space, the Logo Cities symposium will take place at Concordia University, Montréal, Québec, on 4-5 May 2007. The Faculty of Communication at Vilnius University is organising the 2007 Annual NIC Conference to be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 29 November – 1 December 2007. Submission of papers is invited in the field of intercultural communication from participants in previous NIC Conferences and other researchers or practitioners from related fields. This international competition for conductors, soloists, singers, choirs, orchestras and chamber music groups is to be held in Venice, Italy, from 18-28 September 2007. Deadline for entries is 15 March 2007. >>>

6.   IFG ULM: DESIGNING POLITICS – THE POLITICS OF DESIGN

IFG Ulm is inviting entries for its 2007 programme on the topic of Designing Politics – The Politics of Design. A sum of EUR 50,000 is available to be awarded, and the award-winning projects will be supported by mentors at IFG Ulm. Application deadline is 31 March 2007. >>>
