Virtual Culture and Its Impact on Cultural Tourism: Experiences from South-East Europe The Culturelink Network published a report from its international symposium on Virtual Culture and Its Impact on Cultural Tourism: Experiences from South-East Europe, held in Zagreb, Croatia on 14-15 June 2007, with the support of the UNESCO Office in Venice - UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe (BRESCE). >>> 2. Tentative Paths of Cultural Policies Development The Culturelink Network publishes its reflections about topics discussed by the annual meeting of Compendium authors held in Zagreb, Croatia on 19 May 2007, and the challenges faced by current cultural policies. >>> 3. 3rd Annual Culture.mondo Network Roundtable In her role of Culture.mondo Steering Committee member, a Culturelink representative took part in the 3rd Annual Culture.mondo Network Roundtable and International Steering Committee Meeting, held in Havana, Cuba on 11 to 15 June 2007 within the framework of the 5th International Congress on Culture and Development. >>> |

4. Visual Construction of Culture Papers are invited for an international interdisciplinary symposium entitled Visual Construction of Culture, to be held in Zagreb, Croatia, on 26-27 October 2007. Participation should be confirmed by 20 August and the deadline for abstracts is 15 September 2007. >>> 5. Cultural Trends Conference Papers are invited to the Cultural Trends Conference to be held in Autumn 2007, covering the breath of the cultural sector ranging from funded and high arts, to creative industries - and supporting or contradicting commonly held assertions that culture changes lives and transforms places. LabforCulture's Call for Curatorial Proposals Europe-based curators are invited to propose a creative concept for the LabforCulture anniversary project, be responsible for the ultimate selection of artworks and critically reflect on the project throughout its duration and after its end. The deadline for entries is 1 July 2007. >>> 7. Residential Scholarships at the Künstlerhaus Schloß Balmoral In the current application period for Balmoral Scholarships in Bad Ems, seven residential scholarships will be awarded, six of which to artists and one to a junior scholar of the humanities. The deadline for applications is 15 July 2007. >>> 8. Global Arts Village Fellowships The Global Arts Village, an emerging international multi-cultural residential art centre located in New Delhi, India in announcing a call for applications for fellowships that is to start in August 2007. The deadline for applications is 15 July 2007. >>> 9. 21st World Congress on Dance Research This largest gathering of dance specialists world-wide, presents an ideal opportunity to showcase your work to a wide audience of practitioners, dance teachers, choreographers, researchers and journalists. All forms of dance are represented. Strictly non-profit, not to be confused with festivals, workshops, competitions or open conferences. Submission deadline is 30 July 2007. >>> 10. Europa Nostra Awards 2008 Outstanding achievements in the field of heritage conservation and enhancement will be awarded in the categories of conservation; research; dedicated service by individuals or organisations; and education, training and awareness-raising. The deadline for entries is 15 August for the research category and 15 September 2007 for all other categories. >>> 11. Canon Foundation Research Fellowships The Canon Foundation in Europe grants up to 15 research fellowships annually to highly qualified European and Japanese researchers.
