The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities invites applications for fellowship places for the academic year 2008-2009 by 31 October 2007. >>>

3.   AHRC/ESRC FELLOWSHIP IN IMPACT ASSESSMENT

The University of Liverpool has been awarded an AHRC/ESRC fellowship in Impact Assessment for three years, starting in October 2007 and is seeking to appoint for two posts: a full time Research Fellow and a PhD studentship. The deadline for applications is 21 September 2007. >>>

4.   SURVEY METHODS IN MULTINATIONAL, MULTIREGIONAL, AND MULTICULTURAL CONTEXTS

As part of an ongoing effort to promote quality in multipopulation surveys and to raise the level of methodological expertise in various applied fields of comparative survey research, an International Conference on Survey Methods in Multinational, Multiregional and Multicultural Contexts will be held in Berlin, Germany, on 25 - 29 June 2008. Deadline for abstracts is 25 September 2007. >>>

Organised by the National Popular Culture and the American Culture Associations, a conference on Eastern European Culture is to be held in San Francisco, USA, from 19-22 March 2008. The deadline for abstract submissions is 1 November 2007. >>>

6.   SIXTH ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CULTURAL STUDIES ASSOCIATION

The Cultural Studies Association invites participation in its Sixth Annual Meeting, to be held in New York, USA on 22-24 May 2008. The deadline for paper proposals from all areas and topics of relevance to cultural studies is 10 November 2008. >>>

7.   BETWEEN OBJECTS AND IDEAS: RE-THINKING THE ROLE OF INTANGIBLE HERITAGE

The 4th Annual Ename International Colloquium entitled Between Objects and Ideas: Re-Thinking the Role of Intangible Heritage in Museums, Monuments, Landscapes, and Living Communities is to be held in Ghent, Belgium, on 26-29 March 2008. Deadline for paper submissions is 15 November 2007. >>>

The International Music Council will hold its 2nd World Forum on Music in Beijing, China, on 11-14 October 2007, aiming at studying and discussing some of the most important aspects relative to music in development and development in music, including future music delivery systems. >>>
