MA FINE ART - PIET ZWART INSTITUTE The Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research at the Willem de Kooning Academy / Hogeschool Rotterdam invites application to its two-year Master degree course in fine art by 1 May 2008. >>> 8. SFAI MASTER OF FINE ARTS The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) has extended its deadlines for its Master of Fine Arts programmes in Design and Technology, Film, and Sculpture/Ceramics to 1 May 2008. In addition, Master of Arts applications will be accepted through 15 May 2008 for programmes in Exhibition and Museum Studies, in History and Theory of Contemporary Art, and in Urban Studies.>>> 9. WESTERN AUSTRALIAN PREMIER’S AUSTRALIA-ASIA LITERARY AWARD The richest literary award in Australia and Asia, the Western Australian Premier's Australia-Asia Literary Award, is open to any book-length work of literary fiction published in print or electronically, recognizing the increasing predominance of electronic media, such as online and mobile phone formats. Application deadline is 31 May 2008. >>> 10. MFA IN ART CRITICISM & WRITING The Art Criticism & Writing graduate program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, one of the nation's leading independent colleges of art and design, offers a two-year course of study leading to an MFA degree. EUROPEAN COURSE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART CURATORS The second edition of the European Course of Contemporary Art Curators (CECAC) offers young European curators the opportunity to work side by side with an internationally renowned Visiting Professor, approaching a critical analysis of theoretical and practical aspects of curatorship and of the contemporary art scene. THE CREATIVE CONSTRUCT: BUILDING FOR CULTURE AND CREATIVITY SYMPOSIUM Reminder: At the Creative Construct: Building For Culture and Creativity symposium to be held in Ottawa, Canada, on 28 April - 1 May 2008, delegates will hear about a number of initiatives, highly creative in themselves, for creating spaces where artists can be artists, supported in their daily lives by both accommodation, work, and exhibition infrastructure designed with their needs in mind. >>> 15. THE UNESCO-ROAD MAP FOR ARTS EDUCATION AND ITS IMPACT ON EUROPE The European symposium for experts on arts education, entitled The UNESCO-Road Map for Arts Education and Its Impact on Europe, will be held in Wildbad Kreuth, Germany on 27 - 29 May 2008, aiming to examine ways and means of making the Road Map contribute to the further development of an Arts Education for All in Europe.
