5.   MID-CAREER GRANT PROGRAMME 2008

The James Marston Fitch Charitable Foundation awards a research grant of up to $25,000 to mid­career professionals who have an advanced or professional degree and at least 10 years of experience in historic preservation or related fields. Application deadline is 19 September 2008. >>>

6.   UNESCO-ASCHBERG BURSARIES FOR ARTISTS PROGRAMME

The Instituto Sacatar announces the UNESCO/Aschberg bursaries for artist residencies in Visual Arts and Music, to take place from 26 October to 21 December 2009 at its estate on the island of Itaparica in Bahia, Brazil. >>>

The new edition of the Interacció biennial conference on local cultural policies, entitled Policies for Intercultural Dialogue at Local Level, will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on 28-31 October 2008, aiming to reopen the discussion on diversity and intercultural relations, and the understanding that local authorities need to play a fundamental role in addressing them. 23.   LAUNCH OF EU-ACP WEBSITE AND SUPPORT PROGRAMME

The Secretariat of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP Secretariat) recently launched the EU-ACP Support Programme to Cultural Industries in ACP Countries website and call for proposals. The deadline for application for the 2,3 million euro grants is 28 November 2008. >>>

24.   FREE MEDITERRANEAN JOURNAL OF EDUCATIONAL STUDIES

The Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational Research launched its new website www.um.edu.mt/emcer, giving free access to its peer-reviewed biannual publication, the Mediterranean Journal of Educational Studies. >>>

25.   MUSEUM CONSORTIUM LAUNCHES SECOND PHASE OF MEDIA MATTERS

A consortium of professionals from New Art Trust, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), and Tate launched the second phase of Media Matters, an innovative website designed to provide international guidelines for the care of time-based media works of art. >>>

26.   GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART LAUNCHES MFA WEBSITE

As the Master of Fine Art Programme at the Glasgow School of Art is entering its twentieth year, the School announces the launch of the GSA MFA website, showcasing MFA graduate work at http://www.gsamfa.com. >>>

An initiative by Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), currently hosted and facilitated by Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) at http://www.culture360.org, Culture360 is a multidisciplinary arts and cultural online portal platform with a focus on Asia and Europe. >>>

28.   NEW ENCATC WEBSITE LAUNCHED

The European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres, ENCATC recently launched its new website at www.encatc.org, reflecting the changes in the quantity and quality of its new activities and services that took place over the past two years. >>>

29.   CREATIVE EXCHANGE CEASES OPERATIONS

Culturelink is sorry to announce that Creative Exchange has ceased operations at the end of July due to a lack of ongoing financial support. Culturelink thanks Helen Gould for a fruitful cooperation, which included the production of a Special Issue of the Culturelink Review on Culture and Development vs. Cultural Development, in collaboration with Kees Epskamp of Stichting CompArt. >>>

Under the title Living Together As Equals in Dignity, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe adopted in May the White Paper on Intercultural Dialogue as a conceptual framework to guide reflections and decisions of policy-makers and practitioners. >>>

The most recent publication of the Delegation of the European Commission to Russia entitled Moving Art is a user-friendly and practical handbook that describes the different procedures and regulations for the export and import of diverse cultural goods between Russia and the 27 member states of the European Union. >>>
