1.   CULTURAL TOURISM GOES VIRTUAL: EXPERIENCES FROM SOUTHEAST EUROPE

We are happy to announce the publication of Cultural Tourism Goes Virtual: Audience Development in Southeast European Countries, the latest book in Culturelink's Joint Publications Series of research studies undertaken in the course of the past few years on subjects connecting new technologies and culture. >>>

2.   35TH STP&A ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON SOCIAL THEORY, POLITICS & ARTS

The 2009 conference of STP&A, an international interdisciplinary gathering of researchers, policymakers and practitioners that highlights current and conceptual issues in the development of cultural policy, theory, and arts administration practices, will focus on innovation, creativity and change in a globalized world and take place at Birkbeck University, London, UK from 29-31 October 2009. Deadline for paper submissions is 31 May 2009. >>>

3.   CONFERENCE ON APPLIED INTERCULTURALITY RESEARCH (CAIR)

The first conference on Applied Interculturality Research will be held in Graz, Austria from 7-10 April 2010. The main thematic focus of cAIR10 is the application of interculturality research, meaning any constructive exchange, interaction or dialogue between theory and practice in any area of interculturality. Deadline for paper proposals is 31 August 2009. >>>

4.   THE CREATIVE CITY NETWORK OF CANADA CONFERENCE

The Creative City Network of Canada is putting out a Call for Presentations for its upcoming conference in Fredericton, Canada, on 9-11 September 2009. Researchers, academics and practitioners are invited to submit an abstract detailing a research paper, case study or recent planning initiative on a topic relevant to CCNC conference delegates. Deadline for submissions is 1 June 2009. >>>

5.   INTERNATIONAL ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM: ESTACIÓN FORESTAL - CENTRO RURAL DE ARTE

The International Artist in Residence Program will take place from 14-26 September, 2009 in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Deadline for applications is 3 June 2009. >>>

6.   RESEARCH PROGRAMME LA SEINE

The Research Programme La Seine is to provide students with the means to develop their artistic and research in an academic environment that is oriented to prepare them for the demands of the professional context of contemporary and post contemporary art. Applications deadline is 8 June 2009. >>>

7.   GRANTS FOR ARTS WRITERS

The Creative Capital | Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant Program supports individual writers whose work addresses contemporary visual art through grants ranging from 3,000 to 50,000 USD. Application deadline is 8 June 2009. >>>

8.   HELSINKI INTERNATIONAL ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE

HIAP – the Helsinki International Artist-in-Residence Programme invites international visual artists to submit applications for HIAP Production Residencies for the period of 2009/10. The deadline for submissions is 1 July 2009. >>>

9.   SPIER CONTEMPORARY 2010

The Spier Contemporary 2010 is inviting all artists living in South Africa to reflect their experiences, aspirations and visions through new work submitted to this competition/exhibition. The deadline for submissions is the 30 October 2009. >>>

10.   EXPERIENCE THE CREATIVE ECONOMY 2009

Hosted by the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto, the Experience the Creative Economy conference will be held from 23–25 June 2009, allowing scholars new in their careers to experience notions of the creative economy in a small and focused setting. >>>

11.   CREATIVE CLUSTERS SUMMER SCHOOL

The Creative Clusters Summer School is four days of intensive up-skilling designed for regeneration and development managers, consultants and researchers building the creative economy at the local level.
