1.   Culturelink Conference Registration Open

Online registration is now open for the Third World Culturelink Conference, to be held, under the title Networks - The Evolving Aspects of Culture in the 21st Century, from 13 to 15 November 2009 in Zagreb, Croatia, marking the 20th anniversary of Culturelink's continuous networking and research activities by addressing this topic of cultural networks in today's digital environment. Culturelink Network's members, researchers and professionals in the field of culture are invited to investigate the role and relevance that cultural networks hold for cultural development. 3.   FIRST INTERNATIONAL MASTER OF MEDIA.ART.HISTORIES

The postgraduate programme MediaArtHistories at the Department for Image Science, Danube University Krems offers a two-year low residency course of study leading to an M.A. degree. Applications for the next course will be accepted until 26 October 2009 (rolling admissions). >>>

4.   PH.D. IN MARKETING AND MANAGEMENT IN THE ARTS AND CULTURAL INDUSTRIES

Ph.D. in Marketing and Management in the Arts and Cultural Industries is a new programme offered by HEC Montréal starting in September 2010. The programme is designed for graduate students, more specifically for experienced managers in the arts and cultural sector who are interested in gaining access to advanced expertise in their own area of activity. >>>

5.   6TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CULTURAL POLICY RESEARCH (ICCPR)

The 6th International Conference on Cultural Policy Research (ICCPR) will be held in Jyväskylä, Finland, on 24-27 August 2010. The Conference will be organized by The Cultural Policy Unit of Jyväskylä University in collaboration with the International Journal of Cultural Policy. 6.   INTERNATIONAL PERFORMING ARTS RESIDENCY 2009 (GAWP'09)

TCT-Workspace announces its International Performing Arts Residency 2009 (GAWP'09) in India for interested actors, dancers, musicians and other performing artists. The residency will be held in a township in Vijaynagar, South India from 15 December 2009 to 15 March 2010. Deadline for application is 30 September 2009. >>>

7.   ASIA-EUROPE CULTURAL PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVES: NEW MEDIA, FILM AND PERFORMING ARTS

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) presents its new schemes, the Asia-Europe Cultural Partnership Initiative: New Media (AECPI: New Media), Film (AECPI: Film) and Performing Arts (AECPI: PA) as part of its plans to further enhance multilateral connections between Asia and Europe by developing and stimulating strategic initiatives with partners from the new media sector. Deadline for application submission is 30 October 2009. >>>

8.   2010 UNESCO-ASCHBERG BURSARIES FOR ARTISTS

As an implementation instrument of the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, the Programme promotes the mobility of young artists through sojourns in art residencies abroad so as to foster creativity and cultural diversity. >>>

The first Conference on Applied Interculturality Research (cAIR10) will be held at the University of Graz, Austria, from 7 to 10 April 2010. cAIR combines the resources of research (universities, institutes) and practice (government, civil society, schools, media) to raise awareness about racism and xenophobia and to reduce its prevalence and impact. >>>
