Culture and Local Governance, a peer-reviewed online journal publishing original work, both theoretical and empirical, on the relation between culture and local governance, calls for papers for its Special Issue on Culture and Sustainable Communities. 2.   The Other City: Emergent Urban Cultures

The 23rd Instants Vidéo, to take place in Marseille, France in Autumn 2010, invites international programmes of video art and experimental documentaries, video installations, artists' CD-ROMs and performances. Submission deadline is 21 June 2010. >>>

6.   RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITIES IN FRANCE IN 2010

Artistay is a free service for visual artists, writers and creators in other disciplines like design, fashion, architecture, looking for 2-weeks to 4-months residency programmes in France in order to realize a personal artistic project. The selection is carried out by the residencies and the applicants are responsible for the funding. >>>

L'Ecole des Beaux Arts de Bordeaux, specialized in art and media and design, involves young artists and designers in a personalized teaching programme. Application deadline for entrance exam and special admissions commission is 31 March 2010. >>>

9.   Artist and Critical Studies Residencies

The Core Program, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, awards artist and critical studies residencies to highly motivated, emerging visual artists and critical writers who have completed their academic training but have not yet fully developed a professional career. 10.   University of Gothenburg Doctoral Programme

The Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts of the University of Gothenburg announces eight vacant places on its doctoral (third cycle) programme to start on 1 September 2010. Application deadline is 5 April 2010. >>>

11.   Interpool Intercultural Communication Training Courses
