Culturelink International Conference Dear Members, in the last issue of C-News we have informed you about Culturelink's upcoming international conference on cultural diversity, civil society and international cultural cooperation. UNESCO's Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions is at the centre of the conference programme, which has been posted on Culturelink's web site. Now, you will also find the conference agenda there, including all speakers. Please consult Culturelink's website at culturelink.org/conf/culdev/index.html and send confirmation of your participation by 24 May 2013 to clinkconf@irmo.hr. Culturelink Network Evaluation Survey Dear Members, we would like to thank all of you who have answered Culturelink's evaluation survey so far, thus providing us with valuable opinions, comments and suggestions. 1. Art + Mobility: Call for Papers and Art Projects The digital journal InterArtive will publish a special issue dedicated to diverse aspects of the current discussion about Art and Mobility. Theorists, critics, curators and artists who work on the subject are invited to participate. The deadline for papers and art projects is 15 July 2013. >>> 2. Performing Arts Management Today Reminder: Performing Arts Management Today, a professional conference open to arts managers, arts administrators, arts management educators and consultants, arts entrepreneurs, fundraisers, producers and arts agents wishing to present their researches and demonstrate their methods of work to an international audience, will be held at the Retzhof Castle Educational Institute, Austria, on 17-21 December 2013. >>> 3. Calouste Gulbenkian Prize The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation will award the Calouste Gulbenkian Prize for the second time. The 250.000 EUR Prize will distinguish an individual or institution, regardless of nationality, whose thoughts or actions made a decisive contribution to understanding, defending or fostering the universal values of the human condition. 4. DEFAULT 13: Art, Cities and Regeneration. Asia - Europe RAMDOM Association and Arthub Asia organize the DEFAULT 13 Masterclass Residency in Lecce, Italy, on 17-26 September 2013. The Masterclass will increase the possibilities in which people can create art by sharing ideas and experiences in order to develop and nurture new collaborations and networks. Deadline for applications is 26 May 2013. >>> 5. Young Cultural Policy Researchers Forum The European Cultural Foundation, ECF and the European Network on Arts and Cultural Management and Cultural Policy Education, ENCATC have launched a call for applications for the 7th Young Cultural Policy Researchers (YCPR) Forum, to be held in Brussels, Belgium, on 4-5 November 2013. The deadline for applications is 7 June 2013. >>> 6. OSC Research Grant Programme 2014 The IOC Olympic Studies Centre (OSC) has launched the 2014 PhD Students Research Grant Programme intended for doctoral students engaged in scholarly research on the Olympic Movement, its history and ideals, and the impact of the Olympic Games on the various aspects of contemporary society and culture. Deadline for applications is 27 September 2013. >>> 7. Artist in Residence Programme 2014 In cooperation with KulturKontakt Austria, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, the Arts and Culture makes available fifty residencies in Vienna for the year 2014. The call is open to artists, writers, composers, curators and art educators whose place of residence is outside of Austria. Deadline for applications is 31 May 2013. >>> 8. Bucharest International Jazz Competition and Festival 2014 The 8th Bucharest International Jazz Competition and Festival will be organised in Bucharest, Romania, on 17-24 May 2014. It is addressed to bands and vocalists aged up to 35 years, aiming to contribute to the acknowledgement of the international jazz values. Deadline for applications is 10 February 2014. >>> |
