Research and Public Decision-Making in Cultural Policies The 2nd International Meetings on Research and Public Decision-Making in Cultural Policies will be held on 3 and 4 December 2014 at the TNP of Villeurbanne, France. The general topic of these meetings, aiming to intertwine presentations of works and viewpoints of researchers and European and international actors, is Metamorphoses of the Contemporary Culture. The meeting will discuss the metamorphoses of contemporary culture in France, Europe and the world. It will deal with the way the processes of the deinstitutionalization of culture, and at the same time the reinforcement of the private market, influence artistic and cultural practices today; the value systems; the role of public actors facing the transformation of the attitude towards culture, arts and cultural policies; the challenges for cultural policies, and other issues. These meetings will be organized by l'Observatoire des politiques culturelles (Observatory of Cultural Policies) on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, with the support of the Rhone-Alpes Region, the town of Villeurbanne, the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and the universities of Lyon and Grenoble. Culturelink is honoured to be one of the partners of Les Rencontres.
