1. SUSTAINABLE RECOVERY? REBALANCING, GROWTH, AND THE SPACE ECONOMY The conference entitled Sustainable Recovery? Rebalancing, Growth, and the Space Economy, organised by the Regional Studies Association will take place in London, UK, on 27 - 28 November 2014. The conference provides a platform to address the new economic order and its spatial manifestations. The deadline for abstract submission is 18 August 2014. >>> 2. CALL FOR AUTHORS: THE SAGE INTERNATIONAL ENCYCLOPEDIA OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM Academic editorial contributors are invited to The SAGE International Encyclopedia of Travel and Tourism. Published by SAGE Reference, the encyclopedia features approximately 675 entries organized A-Z across 4 volumes. The deadline is 2 September 2014. >>> 3. CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS, PAPERS AND WORKSHOPS - TEACHERS' ACADEMY 2015 The European League of Institutes of the Arts - ELIA will hold its 7th ELIA Teachers' Academy - ENACT: Learning in/through the Arts, in Tilburg, The Netherlands, on 10 - 12 May 2015. 4. EFFE FESTIVAL LABEL 2015-2016 Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe - EFFE is a new international festival community in the making. The first of EFFE's initiatives is the establishment of a quality label, to be presented to festivals with an artistic commitment, involvement in their local communities and a European and global outlook. All festivals in European Union countries can apply. Applications for the first two-year edition are open until 15 November 2014. >>> |

5. CALL FOR ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE-PROGRAMME 2015 In cooperation with KulturKontakt Austria, the Austrian Federal Chancellery makes available residencies in Vienna for the year 2015. During their stay, the artists in residence will be introduced to the Austrian art scene and cultural environment. Submissions are to be sent no later than 31 July 2014. >>> 6. TENOT FOUNDATION SEEKS VISUAL ARTISTS, WRITERS AND MUSICIANS Camac and Fondation Ténot offer each year three residency bursaries to one visual artist, one writer and one musician or composer in order to create new career prospects for artists. Application deadline is 31 July 2014. >>> 7. CANON FOUNDATION IN EUROPE - RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS IN JAPAN Each year, to contribute to international understanding between Europe and Japan, the Canon Foundation in Europe grants up to 15 Research Fellowships to highly qualified European and Japanese researchers. The deadline for applications is 15 September 2014.>>> 8. MA PROGRAMME IN WORLD HERITAGE STUDIES The Ironbridge International Institute for Cultural Heritage at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom has launched a new one-year postgraduate programme in World Heritage Studies, offering students an opportunity to acquire both a deeper understanding of the concepts and processes surrounding World Heritage in its tangible and intangible forms, and the necessary knowledge and skills that will allow them to effectively manage World Heritage and its impacts in a sustainable way. Start date: September 2014. >>> 9. PhD PROGRAMME IN VISUAL ART AND DESIGN PhDArts offers an international, high-level doctorate in art and design at Leiden University and the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, The Netherlands. EVALUATION REPORT ON CULTURAL POLICIES The Evaluation Report of the project on Evaluation of Cultural Policies and EU-Funded Programmes as Promoters of Cultural Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue in the Balkans/Southeast Europe (SEE) summarises the research experiences and practices in relation to cultural policies and EU-funded programmes that promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue in the Balkan region. MOVING WITH DANCE ARTISTS ACROSS EUROPE The European Dancehouse Network (EDN) is a cooperation network of institutions and individuals working to promote dance as an art form and support its artists through different projects. EDN has published a book entitled Moving with Dance Artists across Europe about a modul-dance, multi-annual cooperation project which presents one of EDN's biggest and most successful initiatives. >>> |
