    Next year will be a very special one for the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management, as it will be celebrating its 25th birthday. Its main aims are to empower the participants and to develop capacities and tools needed for creative cultural cooperation in Europe and abroad. The Diploma will take place in Montenegro and Rhône-Alpes. (full details)

    During the July session of the ECOSOC (UN Economic and Social Council) Irina Bokova, Director General of UNESCO, participated in the High-level Segment under the title Science, Technology and Innovation, and the Potential of Culture for Promoting Sustainable Development and Achieving the Millennium Development Goals. The Director General also hosted a breakfast discussion on Culture and Innovation in the Post 2015 Development Agenda. (full article)

    The Banff Centre's Artist-in-Residence programmes provides a rich, well-supported environment for the professional development of artists in digital film and media, audio, research, and photography. Residencies are ideal for individuals and teams who want time and space to create new works, research innovative ideas, and experiment with different techniques and modes of production.     The 2013 conference on Cultural Diversity, Civil Society and International Cultural Cooperation in South East Europe, organized jointly by Culturelink/IRMO and the Center for Democracy and Law Miko Tripalo, in cooperation with the Croatian Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe (Venice), was held in Zagreb, on 3 - 4 June 2013.     Supporting collaborative artistic and creative projects between Asia and Europe, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), and its partners Arts Network Asia (ANA) and the European network Trans Europe Halles (TEH) are jointly launching the 3rd call for proposals for Creative Encounters: Cultural Partnerships Between Asia and Europe. Simultaneously, ASEF is also launching the 1st call for proposals for ASEF Creative Networks. Submission deadline for both calls is 15 August 2013. (full article)

    In cooperation with KulturKontakt Austria, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, the Arts and Culture makes available fifty residencies in Vienna for the year 2014.     The TANDEM Cultural Managers Exchange Turkey European Union 2013-2014 aims at establishing long-term partnerships between cultural organisations from Turkey and EU countries.     Aiming to identify endangered monuments and sites in Europe, the continent's leading heritage organisation Europa Nostra has launched its new flagship programme under the name of The 7 Most Endangered, with the European Investment Bank Group, represented by the EIB Institute, as its founding partner.
