    The Department for Culture and Communication of the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), headquarters of the Culturelink Network, is coordinating a two-year Jean Monnet project entitled EU Competences and National Cultural Policies: Critical Dialogues (CULPOL), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.     ENCATC, the European Network on Cultural Management and Policy, is calling for contributions to its online publication, issue #07 of the /encatcSCHOLAR, which will focus on Cultural Management Education in Risk Societies. The organisers want to explore what consequences risk society has for education in general and for cultural management education. The deadline for proposals is 10 December 2016. (full details)

    A call for participation in the European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) programme entitled Bridge between European Cultural Centres (BECC) 2016/2017 is open.     Change of Scene is a grant programme of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in cooperation with the German Centre of the International Theatre Institute (ITI). This call for applications is directed at civic and state theatres as well as independent companies from the German-speaking realm (Germany, Austria or Switzerland) who wish to develop a new artistic project with a partner from North Africa or Eastern Europe.     We are happy to announce that Nina Obuljen Korzinek, Culturelink Team member and IRMO research fellow, has been appointed Minister of Culture of the Republic of Croatia. Her qualifications and professionalism, her education and experience, the knowledge and understanding of the cultural sector indicate that she will know how to respond to the expectations of Croatian artists, cultural practitioners, institutions and associations. There are so many problems in culture, the cultural sector is in need of a reform - we wish Nina a lot of success on this road! (full details)

    The European Diploma in Cultural Project Management 2017/2018 is the 27th edition of this pan-European training programme for project-oriented European cultural managers organized by the Association Marcel Hicter and supported by the Council of Europe. Culturelink congratulates Rijeka and the other three Croatian candidate cities, Dubrovnik, Osijek and Pula, for their excellent programmes in the competition and wishes Rijeka the best in the implementation of its programme as European Capital of Culture 2020.
