    The 2010 call for applications to the International Fund for Cultural Diversity is now open, to support projects and activities that aim to foster the emergence of a dynamic cultural sector in developing countries. It is intended to facilitate the introduction of cultural policies that protect and promote the diversity of cultural expressions and strengthen the corresponding institutional infrastructure. Funding requests are to be submitted through National Commissions for UNESCO or other designated official channels. Application deadlines are variable for each country on the national level, and 30 June 2010 to the Convention Secretariat.     Artistay is a free service for visual artists, writers and creators in other disciplines like design, fashion, architecture, looking for 2-weeks to 4-months residency programmes in France in order to realize a personal artistic project. Residencies are run by professionals with a background in the art world (artist, professor, art historian), able and willing to help their guests in practical, personal or professional matters. Applicants are given the opportunity to take advantage of the professional facilities and support in order to work efficiently and realize their self-defined project of residency.     The Robert Bosch Stiftung invites selected German speaking fellows from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe to Germany for a thirteen-month course qualifying them in international cultural management.     Applications are now being accepted for the 2010 artists in residency programme at La Macina di San Cresci, Chianti, Tuscany, Italy. The programme provides the ideal combination of living and working in a setting of truly inspirational beauty. Artist residencies consist of 7- to 90-day stays, with a possible time extension subject to availability. This period covers a programme based on a personal project proposal. Artists with specially interesting projects will hold a public event that offers a venue to test their ideas in a dialog with other artists, and the general public. Help will be provided by La Macina di San Cresci staff to organize a local exhibition on a theme related to the residency project. Residencies are available between 1 January and 31 December 2010.
