    The TRACES Project - Transmitting Contentious Cultural Heritages with the Arts: From Intervention to Co-Production - investigates the challenges and opportunities raised when transmitting complex pasts and the role of difficult heritage in contemporary Europe. The outcomes of the research and items for discussion can be shared within the TRACES Journal. The project calls for papers for the third issue of TRACES Journal, to be published in May 2017.     Nka Foundation, a non-profit organization in the United States focusing on the arts for human capital development, invites submissions from creative practitioners and organizations dedicated to community placemaking to participate in its 2017 Land Art Competition. The construction site will be Abetenim Arts Village, near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Submissions must be received by the competition organizers no later than 15 February 2017.     The University of the Arts Helsinki's Theatre Academy provides the highest education in the performing arts in Finland. At the Theatre Academy, art, performance, training and research are in constant interaction.     The Master of Science in Art, Culture and Technology (ACT) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is a rigorous two-year programme for artists-thinkers advancing their critical and production practices. Research, pedagogy and MIT's culture of scientific inquiry and technological advancement inform current explorations: cinema and its migrations; art in the public sphere; performance, video, photography and related media; and spatial and sonic experimentation.     MEDRESET - Resetting Mediterranean relations is a consortium of research and academic institutions focusing on different disciplines from the Mediterranean region to develop alternative visions for a new Mediterranean partnership and corresponding EU policies.
