Directories

In 1995 and 1997 respectively, the Culturelink Directory Series published two directories of institutions and databases in the field of cultural development. Each directory was a selective printout form the Culturelink Database, containing information on institutions and networks in the field of cultural development from around the world, and describing their information infrastructure and databases, projects, publications, international cultural cooperation, etc.

The series was intended for all those who seek information on cultural development: researchers, policy makers, and cultural managers. Its objective was to provide precise and up-to-date information facilitating cooperation and research in the cultural community and listing links to information resources in the field.

In 1996, the Culturelink Database has been made available online, superseding the need for updated printed editions. Also, at a later date, the Asia-Pacific Regional Centre of the Culturelink Network (APRCCN) has put the Cultural Institutions Database from the Asia and Pacific Region on-line, reachable at http://www.culturelink.or.kr/database/db.htm

The Directory of Institutions and Databases in the Field of Cultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe, the second publication in the Culturelink Directory Series, published in 1997, specialised on information about 102 cultural institutions and networks in Central and Eastern Europe, their publications, projects, databases, etc.

The Directory of Institutions and Databases in the Field of Cultural Development, published in 1995, carried information on 170 cultural institutions, their databases, publications, projects, researchers, and addresses of some 350 cooperating institutions.
