A selection of some documents recently produced by the Cultural Policy and Action Department
The new List of Documents / Liste de documents has just been published, containing a selection of some documents recently produced by the Cultural Policy and Action Department of the Council of Europe. It contains information on some general documentation, intercultural dialogue and conflict prevention publications, as well as on cultural policy development in the member States. Publications within the framework of the MOSAIC and STAGE programmes as well as training of cultural administrators are also presented.
A number of publications are presented on the subject of new technologies divided in two: digital content, books and archives, and new information technologies.
A few publications are listed in the following fields: culture and regions; culture and neighbourhoods; culture, creativity and young people; and cultural routes.
The publications are produced both in English and French.

New Eurostat-EU Study - Urban Audit
Urban Audit is a joint project by EUROSTAT and the European Commission which aims to provide comparable information on selected urban areas in the 25 member states of the EU, Bulgaria and Romania with a view to asses the quality of life in European cities.
Urban Audit releases now the results of a study of 258 large and medium-sized European cities, covering socio-economic aspects, participation in civic life, education and training, environment, as well as culture and leisure. Cultural indicators refer to available facilities and cultural consumption; the study identified for example large differences in the number of cinema seats per inhabitant.
