Roberto Cimetta and Marseille-Provence 2013 Mobility Fund

The Roberto Cimetta Fund and Marseille-Provence 2013 announce new selection dates for their joint RCF/Marseille-Provence 2013 Mobility Fund in 2010, which is open to individual artists and cultural professionals travelling in the Euro-Mediterranean zone, or preparing a project linked to Marseille-Provence as geographical area or to the Marseille-Provence 2013 Capital of Culture year.

The Fund supports artistic creation in the Euro- Mediterranean region in the contemporary performing arts (theatre, dance, circus/street/puppet art), music, visual arts, digital arts, photography, film, new writing, playwriting, storytelling, poetry, transdisciplinary projects. Priority will be given to trips from a country on the South or East coast of the Mediterranean to another country of that same zone. The travel must take place after the selection date on 21 December 2010.

The aim of the trip must be to set up a project that has a constructive and long term impact (opening workshops, studios, cultural centres, networks, etc.), to take part in an artistic residency within an international exchange programme, to attend a meeting/conference involving artists and/or professionals with the aim of networking in the Mediterranean, or to undertake professional training (master-classes, workshops, etc.).

Countries of departure/destination include European countries including EEA countries, countries from the East and South coasts of the Mediterranean (Morroco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey), countries of the Balkans (Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovnia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia), and countries of the Arabian Gulf (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen).

The upcoming deadline for applications is 30 November 2010. Further deadlines are 25 February 2011, 22 April 2011, and 26 August 2011.
